Good to know about Annaberg-Lungötz

Annaberg-Lungötz lies in Salzburg’s Lammertal, looking across to the Gosaukamm and the distinctive peak of the Bischofsmütze. This is where Marcel Hirscher, eight-time overall World Cup winner, learned to ski on the slopes of his home village. The Donnerkogelbahn gondola takes you straight into the Dachstein West ski area.

  • Fuxi’s Kinderland at the Donnerkogelbahn valley station: three magic carpets and a ski school on site
  • Kids Run with rollers and banked turns near the valley station

Dachstein West links Gosau, in Upper Austria’s Salzkammergut, with Russbach and Annaberg on the Salzburg side, set between the Dachstein glacier, the Gosaukamm and the Tennengebirge. The Dachstein Tour runs for 44 km of pistes through all three villages, with the glacier in view the whole way. Multi-day passes from one and a half days open up 70 lifts in seven regions.
