Good to know about Saalbach

Saalbach gave its name to the 2025 World Ski Championships. From the village centre you can reach the whole Skicircus, as far as Leogang and Fieberbrunn — handy if you arrive without a car.

  • Lifts and runs right in the village centre
  • Hinterglemm is about 4 km further up the valley

The Skicircus joins Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn into one area with 270 km of pistes and 70 lifts. A Ski ALPIN CARD adds the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier in Kaprun.

Getting there: The route passes Bad Reichenhall, running for just over 20 km through Bavaria, then continues via Lofer and Saalfelden before turning up the Glemm valley at Maishofen.
