Good to know about Bad Gastein

In Bad Gastein the waterfall drops through the middle of town in three tiers, lined by Belle Époque buildings. The Stubnerkogel gondola leaves right next to the railway station. From the airport we take the Tauern motorway and then drive up the Gastein valley.

Bad Gastein has a railway station — why take a transfer?

There is no train from the airport itself: you would first have to get into Salzburg and change there, carrying your cases and skis yourself. We meet you in the arrivals hall and drive you to the door of your accommodation.
