Good to know about Söll

Söll lies between the Wilder Kaiser and the Hohe Salve, whose summit is crowned by the little Salvenkirchlein church. The Hexenwasser gondola lifts you from the village straight into the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser–Brixental, and on some evenings the skiing carries on under floodlights.

The Kitzbühel Alps stretch from Kitzbühel through the Brixental and the Hohe Salve area to St. Johann in Tirol and the Pillerseetal. Several big ski areas sit side by side here, KitzSki around Kitzbühel among them.

Getting there: After Lofer it’s the B178 all the way — through St. Johann in Tirol, Ellmau and Scheffau to Söll, without a single metre of motorway. The first part of the route crosses Bavaria near Bad Reichenhall, so everyone travelling needs an ID card or passport.

Can we ski in the evening in Söll?

Yes — during the winter season there is floodlit skiing on several evenings a week, and the Hexenwasser gondola takes you up. Evening tickets are sold at the Söll lift ticket office, and the SkiWelt publishes the current operating days.

How many passengers with ski equipment fit in the vehicle?

Up to 6 passengers with suitcases and full ski equipment. Without skis up to 8 passengers. For larger groups we add a second vehicle.
