The resort

Good to know about Gerlos

Gerlos sits at 1,246 m above Zell am Ziller, right in the middle of the Zillertal Arena. At around 150 minutes it is one of the longest rides we offer as a ski transfer, so plan your arrival day with that in mind.

  • Dorfbahn gondola: eight minutes from the village to the Gerloser Vorkogel
  • Gerlos Alpine Road from the Pinzgau: open all year round

The Zillertal Arena joins Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten, Wald and Krimml/Hochkrimml, reaching from the Tyrolean Zillertal into Salzburg’s Pinzgau. Altogether it has 150 km of pistes and 52 lifts.

Getting there: We take the shortest way: a short stretch through Bavaria near Bad Reichenhall, then Lofer and St. Johann in Tirol to Wörgl, the Inn valley motorway, the Zillertal up to Zell am Ziller and finally the Gerlos road. Remember your ID for the stretch through Bavaria. After snowfall chains may be required – our vehicles are winter-equipped, and we build extra time into the pick-up time.
