Good to know about Flachau

Flachau is the home village of double Olympic champion Hermann Maier, and in January the women’s World Cup comes to town for a floodlit race on the run named after him. The village marks the eastern end of Snow Space Salzburg and sits right by the Tauern motorway.

How long is the drive from Salzburg Airport to Flachau?

Allow about 55 minutes for the 72 km. The Tauern motorway takes you almost all the way, and from the exit it’s only a few minutes into the village. The fixed price is €215 per vehicle one way, or €385 return.

Can you take us to the World Cup night race in Flachau?

Yes — we drive around the clock, so a late return to Salzburg after the race is no problem. The World Cup comes to Flachau in January and races under floodlights, so please book those evenings early.

How many passengers with ski equipment fit in the vehicle?

Up to 6 passengers with suitcases and full ski equipment. Without skis up to 8 passengers. For larger groups we add a second vehicle.
