Good to know about Maria Alm

Maria Alm lies at the foot of the Hochkönig, a few kilometres past Saalfelden. It is one of the starting points of the Königstour, a ski safari over six peaks to Dienten and Mühlbach. Hinterthal, with lifts of its own, also belongs to Maria Alm.

  • Hinterreit family ski area in the village: two drag lifts and a practice lift

Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach share the Hochkönig ski area: 120 km of pistes and 34 lifts. The Königstour ski safari links all three villages.

Getting there: The shortest way runs via Bad Reichenhall and Lofer to Saalfelden, with the last few kilometres on the B164. Part of the route crosses Bavaria, so don’t forget your passport or ID card.
